HARRI & HOURE
Members:
Harri - Vocals & Instruments Houre Noir - Vocals & Instruments Genre: Generic Pop Rock Location: Lohja / Joensuu, Finland The duo met back in 1996 through a mutual friend. Shortly after they started to make and rehearse music with an emphasis to pop rock. Harri was a high school outcast with no previous band experience, while Houre had already headlined a local festival with the death metal band Torment.
For the latter this new acoustic based project was an opportunity to do something else. For the former it was an opportunity at last to express himself musically. After a few rehearsal tapes H&H hit Sound Ateljee studio in 1997 to record Jack-in-the-box demo tape with Sammy Roiha. By the next year they changed singing language to Finnish when they recorded Kootut Selitykset demo album in Houre Noir's Garage Sound Studio. Between 1999-2000 they recorded more music before taking a long break. It took almost ten years until the band regrouped again in the studio. In 2008 Harri & Houre recorded 3 song EP Scarlett O'Harry. After that experience the idea to share musical ideas became something that should be done more frequently. Four years passed until the next session. This time they went back to their roots. Outcome was Retrospective. It contains the professional versions of oldest H&H songs. |
