BACK FROM THE SUMMER VACATION
We're not dead, we've been on a long summer vacation.
No memories whatsoever, but now we are back to the base.
So, after six month brake from playing we sat down
and recorded Chainsaw Suicide's three song E.P in one session.
Yes, you read correctly, six month brake from playing.
The "down" side of being independent and having multiple bands is
that you have to do everything yourself and that takes a lot of time.
And by "down" I mean awesome and educative.
Last year we played together ten times and this year's
New Year's resolution was to play more often.
Well..things did not go exactly according to the plan.
We have only played two times within the last six months.
The interesting thing is that every time we play
we either write new songs or record an album, like now.
We wrote these songs back in the 2013
and the next time we sat down we recorded the E.P.
All the songs are quite hard.
When Houre Noir plays, my fingers cramp.
The things that I heard in my head
while listening to the riffs were pure bloodshed.
The thing that scared me was if I could channel that aggression
to the drums, I'm not a good drummer you know.
"What technique you use".
A bad technique.
I grab the sticks and brutally beat
the shit out of the drums to create music.
Maybe by learning some proper technique would save me
from a lot of sweat, but realistically I will never earn my living
by playing drums so I just want to sound as fucking violent as possible.
During recording and minimal mixing
we did not use copy&paste, triggers,
click or "one section at a time" tools.
Just live recording from the beginning to the end,
one song after the another.
This can be heard from the dynamics and it gives
the music the vibe it should never loose,
identity & naturalness.
"Man evoke more emotions with one string,
than computer with whole orchestra." -SL
As for the covers,
the original plan was to use different covers,
but after Tyrannia decided to retire
they left bunch of cool stuff behind
and it would have been a shame not use them.
They fit perfectly for Chainsaw Suicide.
50 CD's will be done,
our goal is that year from now they would be all gone.
The album is available on Youtube, Spotify and Bandcamp
for free of course.
As always thank you for the support.
